The Data Technologies Core The Data Technologies Core, located within the Center for Community-Based Research, and a part of the Division of Population Sciences, is dedicated to the implementation of rigorous quantitative and qualitative primary research. The staff members of the Data Technologies Core provide expertise and capabilities allowing researchers to develop and implement a wide range of research protocols. The Data Technologies Core provides expertise and technical support in the areas of developing and implementing surveys and other data collection protocols from study participants, quality control of data collection processes, and data management. Its capabilities include the development and implementation of a full range of survey research methodologies including Internet, mail, and face-to-face interviewing, the development of complex databases, project evaluation, cognitive interviewing, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and other data collection processes. The Data Technologies Core has been an integral part of the Center for Community-Based Research, and continues to play an important role in much of the research conducted within the Center. Health Communication Core Dana-Farber's Health Communication Core (HCC) provides evidence-based communication support to investigators across the seven Cancer Center institutions. Through the HCC the Cancer Center provides resources and support to enhance the quality, efficacy, and success of communication efforts in CCBR and beyond. Also, through the HCC, CCBR faculty and staff provide the Cancer Center with expert consultation and services in areas of study recruitment, intervention development, patient and public education, community outreach, and more. |
